We are proud to announce that the world premiere for the documentary “Kavur” by Firat Ozeler, who was a Moon and Stars Project grant recipient for the year 2021, will be held at the Rotterdam Film Festival from January 25th to February 5th, under the Cinema Regained department.

MASP supported the post-production phase of the documentary, Kavur. The shooting of Kavur had concluded in 2021 and the post-production process was completed in 2022. In the documentary, Firat traces Omer Kavur’s life story and his incomprehensive inner world. In an effort to remember one of the most important directors of Turkish cinema, with an extensive archive of work and documents that have not come to light before, Firat wants to keep Kavur’s name alive and ensure that he gets the value he deserves.
