The American Turkish Society’s business programs provide members with timely information on the latest business and economic trends and developments in Turkey and bring together top business executives, government officials, and analysts to share their insights.

Business, economics and finance have been important focus areas for The American Turkish Society from the very first day. For instance, JPMorgan and Chase Manhattan Bank both became members in the Society in the first year. Other multinational companies followed soon thereafter. Today, the Society boasts an impressive roster of corporate members, many of which are also represented on the board of directors.

Past events focused on business included:
  • Panel discussions on the impact of latest political developments, such as the European Union membership prospects, on the Turkish economy and financial markets
  • Timely addresses by Turkey’s treasury ministers and central bank governors
  • Analysis of the financial markets and investment environment in Turkey
  • Trade between Turkey and the United States

In addition, The Society hosts an annual gala dinner, celebrating successful partnerships of American and Turkish corporations, such as The Coca-Cola Company-Anadolu Group, GE-Doğuş, Citi-Sabancı and Ford-Koç.
